“Nature is about to show us how beautiful it is to let go.” - unknown

Step into a quiet, sensory-rich experience where art and presence meet. This workshop is a space to slow down, observe the season, and reconnect with the subtle beauty of the natural world through painting fall leaves.

There will be time to move at an unhurried pace, explore leaves with curiosity and openness - looking at texture, color, shape, and the quiet stories each leaf carries.

You will learn tips and tricks to paint the leaves (which can be applied to painting anything). There will be gentle prompts that invite reflection: noticing patterns in nature, embracing imperfection, and cultivating a sense of presence through creative practice.

No prior art experience is needed—only a willingness to explore, observe, and create.

By the end, you’ll leave not only with a series of painted leaves, but with a deeper connection to the rhythms of nature, a quieter mind, and a renewed sense of creative flow.

This workshop will include:

• Reflection questions about your life inspired by the wisdom of leaves

•. Creative exercises to break through blocks and stories that don’t serve us (like “I am not an artist.”)

• Tips and skills to paint leaves

• Space for connection

It is designed with a beginner watercolor artist in mind.

“What I loved most about the leaves workshop was the space to just play and bask in the joy of creating art without the pressure of feeling like I needed a master a brand new skill or arrive at a finished product. I loved the space to just DO ART… it left me feeling so inspired to try more things for the sake of the happiness it may bring me!” - Andrea Rice

Personal Story: Painting fall leaves is a very meditative and peaceful process. I have always loved and admired the colors of fall and the changing leaves. Over the years, I have observed, photographed, and painted them. When I lived in Miami, Florida, my dad would mail me the fall leaves. I could smell them the moment I got the envelope~ each one a treasure. Now as a mother, my children teach me how to revel in their magic whether magically floating in the air by a spiders web or the crunching sound they make. Fall is a perfect time to slow down, observe, and reflect.
