<image:caption>“Nature is about to show us how beautiful it is to let go.” - unknown Painting fall leaves is a very meditative and peaceful process. I have always loved and admired the colors of fall and the changing leaves. Over the years, I have observed, photographed, and painted them. When I lived in Miami, Florida, my dad would mail me the fall leaves. I could smell them the moment I got the envelope~ each one a treasure. Now as a mother, my children teach me how to revel in their magic whether magically floating in the air by a spiders web or the crunching sound they make. Fall is a perfect time to slow down, observe, and reflect. This workshop will include: • Reflection questions about your life inspired by the wisdom of leaves •. Creative exercises to break through blocks and stories that don’t serve us (like “I am not an artist.”) • Tips and skills to paint leaves • Space for connection It is designed with a beginner watercolor artist in mind. Details Cost: $80 USD Date: Tuesday, October 27, 10am-12pm PST Supplies needed: watercolors, pencil, paintbrush, watercolor paper, and pen + paper to journal Space is limited. Email jcbiss@gmail.com and PayPal (jcbiss@gmail.com) or venmo (Jeanne-Hansen-3) to reserve your spot. Additional offerings Individual Session: 90 minute session $350 Group Session: 90 minute session. A great opportunity to connect and increase wellbeing on your team or among friends. “What I loved most about the leaves workshop was the space to just play and bask in the joy of creating art without the pressure of feeling like I needed a master a brand new skill or arrive at a finished product. I loved the space to just DO ART… it left me feeling so inspired to try more things for the sake of the happiness it may bring me!” - Andrea Rice *Recorded version: 32 minute Zoom recording available until December 1, 2024. Do it at your own pace (estimated 1 hour to complete).</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Nature can bring you stillness. That is its gift to you.” Eckhart Tolle Painting flowers is a joyful process. My mom, an exceptional gardener, had a major surgery in 2015 and I had the honor of caring for her. While she was recovering, I started painting flowers for her as entertainment. I experienced so much joy while observing and painting them, I never stopped. Most often I paint flowers in acrylic; however this workshop will be taught with watercolors. This workshop will include: - Reflection questions about your life inspired by the wisdom of a tulip - Creative exercises to break through blocks and stories that don’t serve us (ex. “I am not an artist.”) - Tips and skills to paint tulips - Space for connection It is designed with a beginner watercolor artist in mind. Email jcbiss@gmail.com and PayPal or venmo Jeanne-Hansen-3 to reserve your spot. Details - Sunday, April 26 2-5pm. Register at KAC. Supplies needed: watercolors, black permanent pen, paintbrush and paper (I will send a recommendation supply list when you register.) Additional offerings Individual Session: 90 minute session $350 Group Session: 90 minute session. A great opportunity to connect and increase wellbeing on your team or among friends. Email to schedule a private or group session. “I don’t want to spoil too much. But it’s not actually about the tulips. Or the paintings. Or being an artist. It’s about learning to unlearn. About remembering that you were born perfect. And that you still are. I still am.” - Courtney Ochoa “Your workshops for me are quite simply a gift. I think I find them so lovely because you are able to convey to others a sensibility about all that surrounds us - the beauty, the simplicity of looking closely at the world, embracing our own creativity. You are able to share that in your quiet, thoughtful way without any affectation.” - Beth Armstrong</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Through mindfulness you will find that you have even more reasons to be happy than you thought.” Thich Nhat Hanh Painting meditation is an incredibly peaceful practice. Born in my morning pages in 2016, I discovered this very simple practice to be an alternative to more traditional meditation. It was a different way to access the present moment, my breath, connection to humanity, and love. So nine years later, it is still one of my favorite ways to meditate and pray. During this workshop, we will connect to what mindfulness means to us personally, our current practices and rituals of meditation, and practice painting meditation together. No experience with painting or meditation is required. Space is limited. Email jcbiss@gmail.com and PayPal or venmo Jeanne-Hansen-3 to reserve your spot. This particular practice of meditation has been a part of my life ever since. It provides me grounding whenever I need it while also allowing me the opportunity to send love and good energy to others.” - Jill McFadden “Jeanne's workshop allowed me to explore creativity in a new way. She shared her own stories and led the workshop with questions that inspired me and gave me a safe space to have fun and connect to self. I recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking for a way to bring in just a little bit more mindfulness and presence into their everyday life.” - Natasha Wong “I found that the painting meditation workshop helped me in so many aspects of my life. For the past couple months I have been trying to drive with kindness (trust me much easier said than done) but still found myself filled with rage when I’m stuck in rush hour and the Tesla that came out of no where cuts me off...welcome to California driving. Since the workshop I have been saying the metta prayer for not only the people who cut me off but the other drivers I am stuck in traffic with. If you want to smile like a goober while driving 2 miles an hour stuck on the highway I can’t recommend this enough. The metta prayer has touched me so deeply, because isn’t it that all we want- to touch others lives for the better? Even if it’s that Tesla...I guess they had somewhere to be and I hope going in front of me got them their quicker...and happier and healthier for that matter. Thank you Jeanne for not only bringing happy little triangles to my life but also a little contagious kindness.” - Vanessa Hall</image:caption>

<image:caption>“Color is a power which directly influences the soul” - Wassily Kadinsky Why play? Play isn’t just for children - it’s for us adults too. Research shows that play offers significant benefits for adults by enhancing creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall brain function. It reduces stress, boosts mood through endorphin release, and supports emotional well-being. Play also strengthens social bonds and can improve workplace productivity by fostering collaboration and innovation. Additionally, physical forms of play promote better health, vitality, and connection with nature. What to expect? During theworkshop, we will explore abstract painting in both watercolor and acrylic as a form of play. You can expect to create a personal glossary of colors, explore space and texture, and paint abstract! We will also explore listening and our unique way of seeing the world. She has an ease of connecting, holding space and also allowing myself, as a coach trainee, explore my own coaching style along side her. I felt supported, seen and encouraged at such a deep level. Jeanne is truly a gift to the coaching world. She can hear what is not being said and bring voice to it for others to have break throughs and see new perspectives. I am so grateful to have been able to work and learn from her.” - Amy Stine, Coach “In coaching alongside Jeanne, I was able to see how she seamlessly weaved together deep listening, intuition, and well placed silence. She brings compassion and understanding, and especially in this space of coaching parents I learned how to pause and truly hold space for others- holding them as fully resourceful, creative and whole even when at times they may not see themselves that way. She brought a lightness and a levity to tough topics, without diminishing their importance to the client, and I am so grateful for the time I had to observe and learn from her!” -Anna Sandberg, Coach</image:caption>
