“Color is a power which directly influences the soul” - Wassily Kadinsky
Why play?
Play isn’t just for children - it’s for us adults too. Research shows that play offers significant benefits for adults by enhancing creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall brain function. It reduces stress, boosts mood through endorphin release, and supports emotional well-being. Play also strengthens social bonds and can improve workplace productivity by fostering collaboration and innovation. Additionally, physical forms of play promote better health, vitality, and connection with nature.
What to expect?
During theworkshop, we will explore abstract painting in both watercolor and acrylic as a form of play.
You can expect to create a personal glossary of colors, explore space and texture, and paint abstract! We will also explore listening and our unique way of seeing the world.
No experience with painting is required. Everything is beginner friendly. Warning: You may dislike all of your artwork ;) This is definitely a process-oriented, experiential workshop - the focus is not on the product.
Space is limited to 6 people. Email jcbiss@gmail.com and PayPal or venmo Jeanne-Hansen-3 to reserve your spot.
